At 6:00 am you will embark on an unforgettable half-day adventure to explore the majestic Lake Sandoval. We will sail for approximately 1 hour along the Madre de Dios River, after this journey, you will arrive at the Tambopata National Reserve checkpoint, where you will be given an introductory talk about the codes of conduct in this natural protected area.
Afterwards, we will begin a 3 km walk distance for 1 hour (approx.) through abundant vegetation, you will have the opportunity to learn about the most important species of trees, plants and animals of the Amazon.
With a little luck, you will be able to observe the curious monkeys, some birds that accompany us with their calls and songs along the way.
After this charming walk, you will arrive to majestic Lake Sandoval, where you will be able to enjoy its impressive landscape and beauty. Your guide will organize everything to start your boat ride and you will have the opportunity to appreciate the macaws, monkeys, exotic birds and the local species, such as, the giant river otter.
After our adventure through Lake Sandoval, you will begin the return, arriving at the lodge at 1:00 pm approx.
