We will head to Capitanía Port, where we will board a boat for an approximately 30-minute journey along the Madre de Dios River. As we navigate through the heart of the Amazon, we will enjoy the surrounding scenery while a box lunch, snack, and refreshing beverages are served on board.

Upon reaching the entrance to the Tambopata National Reserve, we will begin a 3 km hike through the lush tropical rainforest. Along the trail, we may encounter a variety of wildlife, including birds, monkeys, butterflies, insects, and, with a little luck, other rainforest species.

We will then arrive at Lake Sandoval, a stunning horseshoe-shaped lake renowned for its rich biodiversity. Here, we will board a traditional canoe to explore its tranquil waters, with the possibility of spotting giant river otters, black caimans, howler monkeys, hoatzins, and a variety of Amazonian birds.

Around 5:00 p.m., we will begin our return journey by boat along the Madre de Dios River. As the day comes to an end, we will have the chance to admire the colors of the Amazonian sunset while keeping an eye out for wildlife along the riverbanks.
